
ESI Registration
ESI registration refers to the process of registering a business entity under the Employee State Insurance (ESI) Act of 1948. The ESI Act is a social security and health insurance scheme for workers in India, and it is administered by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.The ESI registration is mandatory for businesses or factories that employ more than 10 employees, and where the total salary of employees is up to Rs. 21,000 per month. Once registered, the employer is required to contribute a certain percentage of the employee’s salary to the ESI fund, and the employees are entitled to various benefits such as medical treatment, sickness benefits, maternity benefits, and more.
